Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Ultra-Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver (Code 14) to join operations at the PPC Dwaalboom contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of bulk materials while complying with all safety, operational, and legal requirements.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Valid Code EC (Code 14) driver’s licence
• Valid PrDP
• Minimum 3 years’ experience driving Ultra-Heavy Motor Vehicles
• Minimum 3 years’ Bulk Tanker experience
• Minimum 3 years’ Superlink / Interlink / Combination driving experience
• Defensive driving skills
• Knowledge of emergency and defect reporting procedures
• Experience conducting vehicle inspections and operating fire extinguishers
• Understanding of vehicle loading and offloading techniques
• Ability to maximise vehicle cost-effectiveness and fuel efficiency
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
• Own reliable transport to and from work
• Clean criminal record
• Medically fit

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for trips and operate ultra-heavy duty vehicles safely
• Load, transport, and offload bulk materials in line with company SOPs
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Handle all trip-related documentation accurately
• Maintain high standards of vehicle housekeeping, PPE, and uniform compliance
• Report defects, incidents, and emergencies promptly
• Comply with all safety policies, traffic regulations, and company procedures
• Follow instructions from supervisors and operational management
• Be prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

• Medical evaluation
• USCS training modules
• Induction processes
• Practical driving assessment
• Criminal record verification
