Purpose of the Role

The Salesman Driver is responsible for ensuring excellent service delivery and driving bakery sales growth through on-time and in-full deliveries, effective customer engagement, accurate collection of payments, and proper management of bakery sales assets on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver bakery products to customers accurately, on time, and in full
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to support sales growth
Collect payments and manage cash in line with company procedures
Manage and safeguard bakery sales assets
Present and communicate product and sales information clearly to customers
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and route requirements
Represent the Premier brand professionally at all times

Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 qualification
Valid Driver’s Licence: Code 10 / C1
Valid PDP (minimum of 3 years old)
1–3 years’ experience in a sales or retail environment

Skills & Competencies

Strong ability to build and maintain trade relationships
Persuasive and confident communication skills
Ability to influence customers and promote products effectively
Good people management and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and numerical ability
Self-motivated, responsible, and target-driven
Assertive with the ability to perform under pressure

Working Conditions

Fast-paced, pressurised working environment
6-day work week
Required to work Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays as per operational needs
May be required to work in alternative areas based on business requirements
