Job Overview

PPC is currently hiring an experienced Mixer Driver to transport and deliver concrete to construction sites in and around Rustenburg. The role involves operating a specialised concrete mixer truck, ensuring timely deliveries and proper offloading of concrete.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 with relevant driver certification
• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with PDP
• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating a concrete mixer truck
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations
• Knowledge of road transport legislation
• Physically and medically fit
• Good eyesight, hearing, and communication ability

Technical Requirements

• Experience operating:
  • Manual (straight) trucks
  • Automatic and semi-automatic vehicles
  • Split gearbox systems
• Experience with truck brands such as:
  • Mercedes-Benz
  • FAW
  • Fuso

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle & Mixer Inspections

• Conduct daily pre-trip checks on the truck and mixer
• Report any defects or mechanical issues immediately
• Ensure proper cleaning, greasing, and maintenance of the vehicle
• Monitor tyre condition and overall vehicle performance

Deliveries & Operations

• Transport concrete safely to construction sites
• Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules
• Operate the mixer drum to offload concrete accurately
• Ensure all deliveries are completed on time

• Maintain safety standards during driving and offloading
