Job Purpose

Reporting to the Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for dispatching finished goods and loading trucks according to customer requirements while ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch and Loading Operations

• Dispatch finished goods accurately and efficiently
• Load trucks according to customer specifications
• Ensure correct labelling of containers
• Follow the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock management system
• Ensure products are loaded according to customer requirements
• Verify that all loaded goods comply with safety regulations
• Consider weather conditions when loading open stillages

Equipment and Safety Compliance

• Conduct daily pre-start forklift inspections
• Ensure forklift equipment complies with safety and maintenance standards
• Follow company safety procedures at all times
• Report operational and safety concerns promptly

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 qualification
• Valid Forklift Licence
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Forklift Driver
• Logistics experience within an automotive manufacturing environment

Required Skills

• Understanding of manufacturing components and parts
• Knowledge of stock control, warehousing, and FIFO principles
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to perform basic numerical calculations
• Problem identification and reporting skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
