Job Overview

BUCO Phalaborwa is seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe loading, offloading, movement, and storage of stock using a forklift, Hyster, or sand loader while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to workplace safety standards.

This position is ideal for an experienced forklift operator who is committed to maintaining operational efficiency and supporting warehouse and yard activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift, Hyster, or sand loader safely and efficiently.
• Load and offload heavy and bulk deliveries.
• Move, stack, and store products in designated warehouse and yard locations.
• Ensure stock is handled carefully to prevent damage or loss.
• Interpret invoices, delivery notes, and related documentation accurately.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and report faults or maintenance requirements.
• Maintain forklifts and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
• Assist customers with loading products when required.
• Ensure compliance with company health and safety procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas.
• Uphold and promote BUCO's values, culture, and customer service standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Valid Forklift Operator Certificate.
• Minimum of 2 years' forklift driving experience.
• Experience in a warehouse, retail, logistics, or building materials environment will be advantageous.
• Good understanding of safe material handling and stock management practices.
