Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to join our operations team within the tipper transport industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient dispatch, tracking, and control of tipper trucks, while maintaining strict compliance with weighbridge, safety, and operational requirements in a high-pressure logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch and monitor tipper trucks daily according to operational schedules
• Live tracking of vehicles, including routes, speeds, deviations, and no-go zones
• Manage drivers and enforce compliance with company policies and road regulations
• Monitor weighbridge slips, load accuracy, and supporting documentation
• Ensure adherence to legal load limits and client requirements
• Handle breakdowns, tyre issues, and coordinate with workshops and maintenance teams
• Communicate with clients, mines, loading points, and internal teams
• Compile and submit daily trip sheets, performance reports, and incident reports
• Identify operational delays and implement corrective actions
• Support continuous improvement in fleet efficiency and cost control

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Fleet Controller or in a similar fleet management role
• Proven experience in tipper transport operations
• Strong understanding of dispatching, tracking systems, and driver management
• Solid knowledge of weighbridge operations and load compliance
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment
• Computer literate (fleet tracking systems, reporting tools, email)
