RCL Foods, guided by its purpose “We Grow What Matters”, is seeking a committed and safety-focused Feeder Truck Driver to join its operations in Polokwane. This role reports to the Despatch Controller and plays a key part in ensuring reliable product movement between depots and customers, supporting seamless distribution across the value chain.
Job Purpose
To deliver bulk and bagged products safely, accurately, and on time to assigned customers and depots, while maintaining vehicle standards, complying with road legislation, and upholding RCL Foods’ commitment to service excellence and safety.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (non-negotiable)
- Valid Code 14 driver’s licence with PDP
- Advanced Driver Training Certification (advantageous)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience driving a Code 10/14 or 3-axle truck
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure prompt and accurate delivery of bulk and bagged products to assigned customers and depots
- Verify loads and returns for correctness and assist with offloading when required
- Manage and reconcile delivery documentation and invoices
- Monitor and maintain fuel consumption in line with agreed standards
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including tyres, lights, trailer couplings, oil, and water levels
- Maintain vehicle condition and cleanliness, ensuring no issued equipment is missing
- Report defects promptly and strive for zero breakdowns
- Perform initial fault-finding in the event of vehicle breakdowns, including tyre changes
- Adhere strictly to safe driving practices, including safety inspection stops
- Ensure availability on cell phone at all times and maintain zero speed and traffic-related fines
