Job Overview

The Building Company is seeking a reliable and experienced Driver (3501–9000 kg) to provide a safe, prompt, and efficient delivery service to customers. The successful candidate will ensure all goods are delivered accurately, without damage or shortages, while maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver goods safely and on time to customers
Ensure the vehicle is neatly packed and loads are secured correctly
Prevent product damage, breakages, and shortages
Supervise and assist with loading and offloading of stock
Conduct daily vehicle inspection checks
Report any vehicle defects or incidents promptly
Maintain the vehicle in a clean, roadworthy condition
Ensure correct quantities and supplies are delivered
Reduce vehicle operating costs through responsible driving
Authorise and manage delivery notes accurately
Collect COD (Cash on Delivery) payments where required
Deliver excellent customer service at all times
Uphold and promote the company’s values and culture

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)
Valid Code 10 (Heavy Vehicle) or Code 8 (Light Vehicle) driver’s licence
Vehicle class: 3501 – 9000 kg
Minimum 2 years’ relevant driving experience
Good knowledge of road safety regulations
Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
Physically fit and safety conscious
