Rhodes University is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for a Driver position based in Makhanda. This opportunity falls within the Student Services and Development Division, under Student Affairs Student Services.

This is an entry-level role suited to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and are looking to work in the higher education sector. The university is looking for someone reliable, responsible, and able to support student services through safe and professional transport duties.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Grade 12
• At least 6 months’ relevant experience
• A valid Code 08 driver’s licence, although a Code 10 licence is preferred
• A valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)

Previous experience working with people with disabilities will be an advantage.

Salary

The salary for this position is:

• R169 363 per annum

This post is advertised as a permanent position, although Rhodes University may decide to appoint on a fixed-term contract of not less than three years.
