Job Description

BUCO Thabazimbi is looking for a reliable and experienced Driver to provide a safe, prompt and efficient delivery service to customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that goods are delivered accurately and on time while preventing damages, breakages and shortages. The role also requires the driver to assist with loading activities, conduct daily vehicle inspections and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Delivering goods safely and efficiently to customers.
Ensuring the vehicle is correctly and neatly packed.
Preventing damages, breakages and shortages during transportation.
Supervising and assisting with loading activities.
Conducting daily vehicle inspection checks.
Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance requirements.
Maintaining and taking care of the assigned vehicle.
Ensuring customers receive the correct quantities and supplies.
Assisting with reducing vehicle operating costs.
Managing delivery notes and required authorisations.
Collecting COD monies where required.
Providing professional customer service.
Upholding and promoting the company values and culture.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

Grade 12 / Matric.
A valid Code 10 (Heavy Vehicle) or Code 8 (Light Vehicle) driver's licence suitable for vehicles below 3,500 kg.
At least 2 years of relevant driving experience.
