ROLE PURPOSE

The Driver 2T / 4T is responsible for the safe collection and delivery of client cargo, ensuring accurate documentation, vehicle roadworthiness, and professional interaction with clients and depot staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Distribute and collect client cargo
• Assist with loading and offloading of goods
• Complete and submit daily delivery and collection sheets
• Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections
• Report vehicle faults as and when required
• Ensure cargo is handled carefully during loading and offloading
• Confirm correct delivery and collection addresses
• Maintain continuous communication with the depot
• Follow delivery and collection routes as authorised
• No deviations without prior approval

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Valid Code 10 driver’s licence (unendorsed)
• Valid PDP
• 1–2 years driving experience (advantageous, not compulsory)
• Good geographical knowledge of the East London area
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Reliable, trustworthy, and professional
• Own transport to and from work
