An opportunity is available for an experienced and professional Code 14 Driver to join the Logistics team in Rustenburg. The ideal candidate will have strong driving skills, a solid track record, and the ability to work shifts and overtime when required.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric)
Valid Code 14 driver’s licence
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
Minimum 3 years’ experience driving a horse and trailer combination
Knowledge of specialised steel products (advantageous)
Fluent in English (read, write and speak)
Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
Good driving record

Key Responsibilities:

Load, transport and deliver goods safely and timeously
Verify orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction
Assist with loading and offloading of goods
Provide professional customer service and handle queries effectively
Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules
Comply with all road traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record
Ensure trip sheets, delivery notes and relevant documentation are completed and signed
Operate trucks, overhead cranes and forklifts where required
Refuel and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete safety checklists
Ensure vehicles and axles are not overloaded
Report road incidents, delays, accidents and mechanical issues to the Logistics Supervisor
Follow company accident and safety procedures
Participate in debrief meetings and daily safety inspections
Safeguard company vehicles and assets against damage
