Job Overview

Barron is looking for a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join its Logistics team in Edenvale. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering products and collecting goods from customers while ensuring excellent customer service, safe driving practices, and accurate completion of delivery documentation.

This role operates on a flexible schedule based on customer delivery and collection requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver products safely and efficiently to customers using various delivery vehicles.
• Collect goods from customers and suppliers when required.
• Follow planned delivery routes and schedules.
• Load and unload products according to company procedures.
• Obtain signed delivery notes and proof of delivery (POD) documents.
• Return completed delivery documentation to the designated supervisor.
• Complete trip logs and delivery reports accurately.
• Comply with all local and national road traffic regulations.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections before each trip.
• Report vehicle faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Ensure vehicles remain clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
• Represent Barron professionally while interacting with customers.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver's licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
• Proven experience as a delivery driver.
• Ability to operate light delivery vehicles (LDVs) and vehicles up to 8 tonnes.
• Good driving record with no traffic violations.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
