About the Role

Econo Foods, a fast-growing FMCG retailer specialising in frozen foods, is looking for a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver (Code 14) to join its Bloemfontein East-End operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of goods, while upholding high safety standards and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate the assigned delivery truck and conduct daily pre-trip inspections
• Deliver goods accurately and on time according to delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, PODs, incidents, and delivery documentation
• Communicate professionally with customers, warehouse staff, and management
• Report vehicle defects, mechanical issues, or maintenance requirements promptly
• Ensure compliance with company policies, road traffic laws, and safety regulations
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organised, and presentable at all times
• Use PPE correctly and adhere to all safety procedures
• Participate in team meetings, coaching sessions, and training when required
• Contribute positively towards team performance and operational targets

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
• Code 14 (EC) or Code 10 driver’s licence
• Valid PDP
• 3–5 years proven driving experience, preferably within the FMCG or retail distribution environment
• Strong knowledge of road safety and compliance standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
