Job Purpose

To safely and efficiently collect and deliver client cargo across borders, ensuring full compliance with operational procedures, customs requirements, and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Distribute and collect client cargo according to delivery schedules
• Assist with loading and offloading of cargo, ensuring goods are handled with care
• Complete daily collection and delivery documentation as required
• Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and report faults when identified
• Ensure delivery and collection addresses are accurate
• Maintain continuous communication with the depot
• Prevent any unauthorised deviations from delivery or collection instructions
• Liaise professionally with Customs officials and assist with cargo inspections
• Secure all transport and customs documentation and hand over to the receiving branch
• Uphold professional conduct, patience, and respect when dealing with authorities and clients

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 1–2 years’ driving experience
• Valid, unendorsed Code 10 driver’s licence
• Valid PDP
• Valid passport
• Good geographical knowledge of the Johannesburg area
• Own transport to and from work

• Willingness to work overtime as required by operational demands
• High level of reliability, integrity, and professionalism
• Presentable appearance and customer-focused attitude
• Excellent time management and punctuality, with strict adherence to linehaul departure times
