PPC is currently recruiting an experienced Mixer Driver to join its delivery team in Brits. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a concrete mixer truck and delivering concrete to construction sites safely and efficiently. This role requires a driver who is experienced in handling specialised mixer trucks and committed to following road safety and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of the truck and mixer before starting operations to ensure everything is in working order
• Report any mechanical or operational issues to the Supervisor immediately
• Ensure the truck is kept clean and properly greased
• Monitor tyre condition and ensure proper tyre management
• Transport concrete safely to construction sites according to delivery schedules
• Plan and follow the best routes to delivery locations
• Continuously monitor the truck for faults or mechanical issues
• Operate the mixer system to safely offload concrete at sites
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
• Carry out daily duties according to operational instructions

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) with external driver certification
• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with PDP
• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating a concrete mixer truck
• Ability to drive trucks with manual, automatic, semi-automatic, and split gearboxes, including Mercedes-Benz, FAW, and Fuso vehicles
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations
