Job Overview

A reputable client, through Greys Personnel, is urgently seeking experienced Code 14 Drivers with proven container and port experience for a temporary contract assignment in Cape Town (Epping).

This role is strictly for drivers who are operationally ready, medically fit, and familiar with container yards and port operations within the Cape Metropole. If you don’t have container or port exposure, this position will not be suitable.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Code 14 vehicles safely and efficiently in line with the National Road Traffic Act
• Transport containers to and from port terminals, container yards, and client sites
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects immediately
• Ensure containers are properly secured before departure
• Adhere to port rules, traffic regulations, and company SOPs
• Complete all delivery documentation accurately and on time
• Maintain professional conduct when dealing with port officials, clients, and site personnel

Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Matric Certificate
• 2–3 years recent Code 14 driving experience
• Previous Port Experience (mandatory)
• Sound knowledge of container yards within the Cape Metropole
• Valid Code 14 Driver’s Licence (unendorsed)
• Valid PrDP
• Medically fit for duty
• Clean driving record – no accidents, incidents, or traffic offences
