Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for the transportation and delivery of chemicals while ensuring full compliance with dangerous goods regulations, road safety laws, and company operational procedures.

The role includes operating various heavy-duty vehicles and handling chemical decanting processes safely and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver chemicals safely to clients and operational sites
• Operate truck-mounted cranes where required
• Perform safe decanting of chemicals using electrical pumps and related equipment
• Drive various heavy-duty vehicles including:
  • Hazchem Superlinks
  • Non-Hazchem Superlinks
  • Triaxles
  • Tankers
  • Container Trucks
• Ensure compliance with dangerous goods transportation regulations
• Follow company safety procedures and legal requirements at all times
• Conduct vehicle inspections and maintain safe operating standards
• Ensure proper handling and transportation of hazardous materials

Minimum Requirements

• Valid unendorsed Code 14 Driver’s Licence
• Valid and unexpired Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) for Dangerous Goods
• Matric / Grade 12
• Medically fit
• Dangerous Goods Transportation Training Certificate
• Fully conversant in English
• Minimum 5 years’ experience driving Code 14 dangerous goods vehicles

• Defensive driving and safety awareness
• Ability to operate heavy-duty transport vehicles safely
• Good communication and reporting skills
