The City of Tshwane is inviting applications for two Driver positions to support mobile clinic services operating within informal settlements in the Olievenhoutbosch area. Successful candidates will be employed on a contract basis and will play a vital role in transporting healthcare personnel and ensuring the smooth operation of mobile clinic services.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
Remuneration: R19,959 per month

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must possess:

• Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
• Relevant experience in administrative support services
• Computer literacy
• Valid EC1 or EC driver's licence
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
• Willingness to undergo a criminal record check at own cost through the Tshwane Metro Police Department

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Clinic Transport

• Drive the mobile clinic to designated service areas within informal settlements
• Transport clinic staff safely to and from service delivery sites
• Ensure the safety and comfort of staff while travelling
• Operate various vehicles including trucks, cars, and bakkies when required

Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before departure
• Check water, oil, brake fluid, tyres, and general vehicle condition
• Monitor fuel levels daily
• Complete weekly, monthly, and annual vehicle checklists
• Report mechanical faults and operational issues to supervisors

Route Planning and Administration

• Plan routes according to scheduled activities and operational requirements
• Maintain vehicle log sheets and trip records
• Respond to ad hoc transport requests from management

Vehicle Cleanliness

• Ensure vehicles are washed externally on a weekly basis
• Maintain a clean and hygienic interior at all times
• Keep vehicles presentable and operationally ready

Additional Duties

• Perform any other duties assigned by management
• Support departmental objectives and service delivery requirements
• Assist with tasks related to the operation of the mobile clinic programme
