🎯 Main Purpose

To safely transport passengers on scheduled routes while ensuring comfort, compliance, and on-time arrivals.

🧾 Key Responsibilities

• Operate buses on scheduled passenger routes
• Ensure safe transport of passengers at all times
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Monitor vehicle condition and report defects
• Maintain accurate logbooks and trip records
• Control lighting, ventilation, and passenger comfort
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company policies
• Register passengers and manage trip documentation
• Report incidents, near misses, and accidents immediately
• Follow authorised routes and stops only
• Ensure proper vehicle security (keys, wheel chocks, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness and fuel levels of the bus

✅ Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Valid Code C or EC driver’s licence with PrDP (Passenger/G)
• Public Driving Permit (Passenger category required)
• Minimum 5 years experience as a bus driver or similar role
• Strong knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations
