Job Purpose

Afrimat is seeking a competent ADT Operator to safely operate articulated dump trucks (ADT) within the mining area. The successful candidate will support quarry operations by moving material efficiently and maintaining safe work practices in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) certificate
• Valid driver’s licence
• Valid ADT Competency Certificate (technical/core training)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar ADT or heavy equipment operator role
• Ability to distinguish between backup alarms, voices, and site signals
• Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and company standards

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate the articulated dump truck (ADT) within the quarry/mining area
• Handle and move material as directed by site supervisors
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections on the ADT and report any defects
• Communicate effectively with site personnel and supervisors
• Maintain the ADT in a clean and safe operating condition
