Job Overview

Triton Express is currently recruiting a Cross Border Driver (5T / 8T) to join its Johannesburg operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for cross-border cargo deliveries, customs coordination, vehicle inspections, and accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with road, safety, and company regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Distribute and collect client cargo safely and efficiently across borders.
• Assist with loading and offloading of cargo.
• Collect and complete daily delivery and collection documentation.
• Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and report faults promptly.
• Handle client cargo with care during loading and offloading.
• Confirm delivery and collection addresses before departure.
• Maintain constant communication with the depot.
• Adhere strictly to delivery and collection instructions; no deviations without approval.
• Liaise professionally with customs officials at border posts.
• Present cargo for customs inspections when required.
• Secure all documentation and hand over to the receiving branch.
• Ensure punctual departures, especially for linehaul operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• 1–2 years driving experience.
• Valid, unendorsed Code 10 driver’s licence.
• Valid PDP.
• Valid passport.
• Good geographical knowledge of the Johannesburg area.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work under pressure and without supervision.
• Willingness to work overtime as operationally required.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times.
• High level of integrity and customer service orientation.
• Own transport to and from work.
