Job Summary
A reputable and well-established manufacturing company in the Western Cape is seeking a skilled and dependable Code 14 Driver to join their logistics and operations team. This role is ideal for a safety-focused driver with solid experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of delivery procedures, documentation, and stock handling.
The successful candidate will be responsible for daily deliveries and collections, internal material movement, and supporting warehouse operations, while ensuring full compliance with road traffic regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily deliveries and collections in a safe, efficient and timeous manner
- Transport raw materials and finished goods between production, warehouse and external locations
- Ensure all delivery documentation, PODs and records are completed accurately and submitted on time
- Load and offload vehicles safely, ensuring goods are secured, wrapped and stored according to quality and safety standards
- Operate a forklift for loading, offloading and internal stock movement (where licensed)
- Assist with stock counts, inspections and inventory control activities
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance issues
- Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of company vehicles at all times
- Adhere strictly to road traffic laws, company driving policies and safety procedures
- Support general warehouse and operational duties as required
- Be available to work rotational weekend shifts when operationally required
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
- Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- Minimum 3 years’ Code 14 driving experience
- Proven experience operating within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of safe loading, offloading and stock handling practices
- Forklift licence (advantageous)
- Reliable, punctual and detail-oriented with a strong safety mindset
- Willingness to work rotational weekend shifts
