Job Overview

Sentraal-Suid Co-operative Ltd (SSK) is seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join its Agriland retail operations in Mossel Bay. This role is critical in ensuring the safe, timely and efficient delivery of stock between trade branches, while upholding SSK’s operational standards, customer service values and safety requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting inventory, maintaining accurate vehicle records, and ensuring that company vehicles remain roadworthy, clean and compliant at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver inventory and agricultural products to SSK trade branches accurately and on schedule
• Supervise and assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring goods are secured and handled correctly
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, reporting defects, damages or maintenance issues immediately
• Complete and reconcile daily vehicle logbooks and trip sheets accurately
• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of assigned vehicles
• Adhere strictly to road traffic regulations, company driving policies and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with branch staff, supervisors and management regarding deliveries and operational matters
• Support operational requirements, including working overtime when required

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
• Minimum of three (3) years’ operational driving experience
• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
• Bilingual proficiency, including English (Afrikaans will be advantageous)
• Sound knowledge of local and regional road networks
• Physically fit and capable of performing loading and unloading duties

• Willingness and flexibility to work overtime as operational demands require
